It’s been over a month since we’ve all been locked down and locked in. Some days it does feel like life is passing us by while we are stuck indoors, unable to be out and about the way we used to. Socializing, eating out, going to the gym, playing your favorite sport, catching a movie – it’s pretty much all out of the question.
During this time, we’ve all probably exploited every way to keep ourselves busy within the four walls of our homes. You could sip a glass of choice wine in the evening with some soft, soothing jazz playing in the background. Perhaps binge watch a TV show, or your favorite movie series. You could engage yourself intellectually by listening to podcasts and watching documentaries. Perhaps listen to your favorite workout playlist while running on a treadmill. Maybe you’ve started meditating and listening to chanting twice a day. When it comes to work and socializing, the term “Zoom” is destined to become a verb, much like Google and Xerox. Video conferences have become the modus operandi for all of us as we strive to keep our work and businesses going while being at home, and even when we want to catch up with friends and family across the world.
There is one thing all these activities have in common – they all use a variety of audio-visual equipment, from TVs, to screens, to headphones, speakers, and mics. What has become clear over the last few weeks is the one thing that has zero restrictions and has provided maximum value during this time, is audio-visual products. It’s in keeping the music playing, the movies going, and the audio books and podcasts on, that we’ve been able to keep ourselves feeling positive through an unprecedented time.
At Cinebels we’re committed to supporting you through this time within all the restrictions and limitations imposed on us. We were founded with a commitment to make personalized solutions available to discerning consumers in India – and today that rationalization also requires taking cognizance of the safety of every single one of our customers.
With some partial relaxation being allowed, our showrooms are slowly becoming operational, albeit with safety measures and guidelines being stringently followed. We are undertaking customer interactions for service and installations as well. Rest assured that these too will be carried out with utmost attention paid to safety, and in tune with social distancing norms and health guidelines.
Here are some of the measures we have implemented with immediate effect so that we can continue to be of service to you.
At our showrooms:
- To avoid crowding, all engagements will be with taken with prior appointment only
- Every member of our showroom staff, across the board, has been instructed to wear masks for
the entire time they are at work - Daily temperature checks and screenings have been put in place, as well as mandatory self-
reporting of any flu like symptoms - Social distancing guidelines will be followed and a minimum six feet distance will be ensured
between staff as well as clients at all times - All staff members will be washing their hands with soap and hot water every hour
- High contact and touch surfaces like staircase rails, doorknobs, restroom door handles,
counter tops and remotes will be disinfected every two hours - All demos will be conducted keeping 6 feet distance between all members
- Staff will wash hands thoroughly after every meeting at the office, showroom or on-site
- If our staff is meeting you on-site or at your home or work place, all the above screenings and
guidelines will be followed. They will wear a mask while commuting to the place of meeting
For site visits and installations:
- All staff members will mandatorily wear masks for site visits and installations
- All staff will carry a fresh pair of gloves and hand sanitizer on their person, which will be used
for this purpose - They will come equipped with all basic material required (in addition to the
professional installation tools) so that nothing will be needed from the customers site - Before entering site, staff will remove shoes outside, sanitize hands and put on gloves
- Strict instructions to avoid touching walls and other surfaces (unless absolutely necessary)

We’re also supporting our staff and personnel with information and building daily awareness to ensure safety not just at the workplace but for their homes and families too. They’re being encouraged to monitor their health and stay away from work and visit a doctor if even slightly under the weather. Personal hygiene and standards are being impressed upon them as now is a time we cannot take any of this lightly. They have been advised to use separate masks for use at home, at work and the commute. We are working with them to avoid public transport and making their commute to work and sites safe and hassle free. We are thankful that none of our staff or their family members have contracted the infection during this time, and we pray that this continues to be the case.
